(Daily Kos Elections) CA-Sen: Unsurprisingly, the AP has already called the first general election slot for Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein, who currently has 41 percent of the vote. Little-known Republican James Bradley is in second with 11, while Democrat Kevin de Leon has just 7. While you might see that it looks like only 3% of precincts are reporting, a far higher proportion of the total vote has already been tallied because of the popularity of voting by mail (meaning many early-arriving votes have been counted).

(Daily Kos Elections) NJ-05 (R): In a mild upset, the AP has made a call for John McCann (cue the “good news for John McCann!” memes). McCann has defeated Steve Lonegan 53-47 for the right to face freshman Democratic Rep. Josh Gottenheimer.

(Daily Kos Elections) CA-25: Some votes are starting to trickle in for this targeted race in North L.A. County, and….WOW. The expected: Republican Rep. Steve Knight is leading (he has 55% of the vote. The unexpected: right now, 2016 Democratic nominee Bryan Caforio and fellow Democratic challenger Katie Hill are...wait for it...tied with 1719 votes each.

(Daily Kos Elections) SD-Gov (R)/SD-AL (R): Neither of these are necessarily surprises, given the trajectory of the votes all evening. But the AP has ended the suspense, declaring congresswoman Kristi Noem the nominee for Governor, and Dusty Johnson the nominee to replace Noem in the U.S. House of Representatives. Noem will take on Democratic state legislator Billie Sutton for Governor, while Johnson takes on Democrat Tim Bjorkman for the open seat in the House.

(Daily Kos) Dems well on track to make the generals in 39 and 49, the two seats we initially feared the most because they were open. Turned out one strong Republican ran away with the GOP vote in both seats, depriving any other Republicans of a chance at #2. Instead, the toughest races for us turned out to be 48 and 10 (!) which have GOP incumbents, and yet strong 2nd Republicans running. Unusual. But in the end Democrats should make every race. The late vote is strongly Dem...I would have only worried had Republicans actually been up by more than a few points in any potential shutout. Kevin de Leon should also make the Senate race once Los Angeles starts coming in.

(Daily Kos Elections) NM-01 (D): We have another call: Former state party chair Deb Haaland has won the Democratic nomination in this open, Dem-held district. She currently leads former U.S. Attorney Damon Martinez 39-28. Haaland will be the heavy favorite in November here, putting her on track to become the first Native American woman to ever win a seat in Congress.

(Five Thirty-Eight) With 20 percent of the expected vote in, according to our colleagues at ABC, it looks like Republicans won’t get shut out of the November election. Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) leads with 35 percent, followed by John Cox (R) with 27 percent. Travis Allen (R) and Antonio Villaraigosa (D) are way behind, with 12 and 10 percent respectively.
(Five Thirty-Eight) CA’s 32nd Senate district is strongly Democratic but has eight Dems running against two Republicans. We only have the Orange County portion of the district reporting so far (LA’s results haven’t been reported), but the three leaders are Topalian (R) at 33 percent, Delgado (D) at 16 percent, and Sarega (R) at 12 percent. Could be close.
